I like the idea of Twitter, but for me two things have to happen before I would find it useful: 1) All (or at least quite a few) of my friends and family would need to use it; 2) I would need to be able to post to Twitter from a mobile device (such as from an iPhone).
No, sorry. Something like an iPhone would be one of the two things that I would need to make use of Twitter. If I had to "tweet" using a computer, it would be difficult to take true advantage of something like Twitter.

Do you mean you couldn't use the iPhone's web browsing capabilities to use Twitter?
